The Yarra Valley Cooking School offers small group cooking sessions in a purpose-built kitchen over-looking our vineyard and a beautiful vista of rolling hills.
Employing classic and simple techniques, passionate chefs and educators will demonstrate, guide and encourage you as you become competent in the preparation and presentation of regional French and Italian dishes over the 3 hour class.
Participants will work singularly and in pairs to prepare, cook and serve a three-course meal which can be enjoyed at the end of the session, along with a glass of wine or soft drink in a friendly group atmosphere.
Located in the premium Yarra Valley wine region in Victoria, we are just eight minutes from the township of Yarra Glen along the Melba Highway. We are also home to the Mount Hope Estate vineyard where pinot noir grapes are grown.
Our location is a great jumping off point to visit a number of larger wineries and restaurants, gardens, Healesville Sanctuary and other popular tourist attractions.
Cook and Stay
An accommodation package is also available. This includes a combined cooking class and stay in our two-bedroom suite, which is suitable for one or two couples.

We attended a cooking class with my partner, and Chef Tony and Sandra gave us a wonderful day. We had fun, chatted, and had a great experience together. We made pasta, apple and rhubarb pie, and focaccia. But what we did wasn’t the most important part; the important thing was creating a beautiful memory. It was a birthday gift for my partner, which made it very special to me, and they ensured we had a wonderful day. They showed us around their house, their gardens, and their vineyard. They also treated us to a wine tasting. Everything was wonderful, and I truly thank them for giving us such a day. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to go—it’s truly a lovely place.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay and an unforgettable experience. We had so much fun, cooked some amazing meals, and everything was simply perfect. The location is stunning, with breathtaking views that made our stay even more special.

What a wonderful place in the Yarra Valley to hold cooking classes. Just gorgeous views and so peacefully quiet. My husband and I had such a great time cooking Italian pasta, Pork fillet and a Ricotta cake today. Totally recommend. We had such fun . Very professionally done 👌🏻 Thank you 🙏
I took my 11yo daughter and myself to a cooking class with Tony and Sandra and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot. Both Tony and Sandra were very friendly, helpful and helped us create some wonderful dishes which we got to enjoy with them both afterwards. The whole experience was very relaxed and personal. Would highly recommend!

Lovely experience with Tony and Sandra at Yarra Valley Cooking School. Excellent hands on experience in a fantastic kitchen overlooking beautiful views of the hills and vines. French Galette entree, whole snapper baked in a salted pastry crust - amazing! Dessert of delicately made hazelnut dacquoise meringue layers of chocolate, nutella, strawberries cream and toasted almonds. To die for! Wonderful experience to celebrate a special birthday! 👏❤️
Tony and Sandra were amazing - we had a group birthday celebration and they were so easy to co-ordinate with, and to teach us on the day, catering for different dietary requirements and cooking abilities. We finished with a great lunch with plenty of wine - all in all a great group day out!

This was an amazing experience. We were the only students which we loved as we got some good one on one time. We had never cooked duck before so this was a real learning experience. We are going to have a go at making it for Christmas lunch. Thanks so much Tony and Sandra! Highly recommend!
We Just had a magnificent experience today with Tony and Sandra. The menu was great and delicious. The interaction was was awesome . There was a great balance of hands and tuition. We got to sit down at the end and enjoy the food and , a glass of the excellent Mt Hope Pinot with some awesome conversation. I can highly recommend this experience to anybody
